I'm torn. Elon is clearly good at technology, but how those skills translate to speech remains to be seen. If his interpersonal skills are any indicator, I don't hold out much hope. Content moderation policies effectively define social media platforms and Twitter is no exception. The democratization of information has been good in some respects and tragic in others.

Yes, it's boggling to imagine a completely hands-off approach to content moderation and the harms of misinformation when it's such a prevailing aspect of the social environment. And when it means that advertisers are taking their chances that their ads will run next to content that might cause *them* PR headaches, I have to wonder what the revenue strategy will end up looking like a twist or two further down the road.

I've taken it off my phone and blocked it on my desktop during working hours. I'm deciding among staying on, deactivating my account, or changing my handle to Elon Musk and waiting to see how long it takes him to ban me. The third one is what I should do, I know. But I kind of want to stick around and wait to see how long it takes him to break it for good, which is certainly what he's going to do and might even be what he wants to do.
